Worrinots & Essex County Council help with children’s positive well-being
We’ve more great news to share this month. The Worrinots is now listed as a resource on the Essex County Council Website as a resource for the home and schools. You can find their page here http://bit.ly/2TEQrdP
We’re only into the month of March but how many articles have you been reading about children’s mental health since January?
There’s so much information out there thrown at parents, carers, teachers and young people. Regardless of where you get your information from, what the article is about, what statistics are represented and what you believe or choose to hang on to, there is one thing as parents/carers and teachers you can be in control of, and that’s helping your child’s well-being and helping them receive good, trusted and reliable information too.
It’s important to encourage children to be able to speak out and with confidence about anything that worries them or makes them anxious. As parents it’s also important that we are proactive in taking control of these situations, taking time to research good quality and reliable apps to help be in control of your child’s development and well-being.
It’s important to raise children that can be confident, show resilience and feel safe in the knowledge someone will listen to them from a young age, which is why, at The Worrinots we are constantly working to encourage parents, carers and teachers to engage with their children and to help educate them around the language and understanding of feelings and emotions through using The Worrinots app.
As Frederick Douglas quoted:
“It’s easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults”.
